Hi, everyone. Today I'll talk about Marina Abramović. I don't really "admire" her at all, but I have to tell that I like her and her work so much. Because few days ago I watched a documentary film about her, called "The artist is present" (2010) and I love it. She is a performance artist, from Serbia, based on New York. She started her career in 1970s.
About her works, I think that all are about the limits, from her own body, to the relationship between her and the audience. I like specially how she made her own image, and how the people watch her like a "rockstar". It's so interesting, and we can see all this effect on the audience in the film, that was made during a retrospective of her work at MoMa. Now I leave one video from the performance "The artist is present" (that's why the name of film). In this performance, Marina was sit immobile for 736 hours and 30 minutes.

I almost cry when i see this video

"Marina Abramovic and Ulay started an intense love story in the 70s, performing art out of the van they lived in. When they felt the relationship had run its course, they decided to walk the Great Wall of China, meeting for one last time in the middle and never seeing each other again. At her 2010 MoMa retrospective Marina performed ‘The Artist Is Present’, a minute of silence with each stranger who sat in front of her. Ulay arrived without her knowing and this is what happened...
